Mountain wildflower honey harvested in the Cherokee National Forest at the end of September. Medium to high viscosity.

USES - Perfect for coffee or strong tea. Drizzle over charcuterie cheese, roasted vegetables. Excellent complement to hot spices, mixes nicely with vinegar, or add to jams, marinades, BBQ sauce or glazes.

STRANGE HONEY FARM maintains 1650-2000 hives in the Cherokee National Forest with access to the natural stream and creeks that feed into the French Broad River. The combination of natural water, forest nectar and pollen is why our honey tastes great, is nutritional and does not rapidly crystallize when exposed to air.

Gary Strange and his crew harvest honey from April to September 30; with so many hives the harvest is large enough to sell honey from January – December.

We do not feed our bees sugar or commercial pollen patties because there is enough naturally occurring nectar and pollen in the forest. When a drought occurs the bees are fed from their own honey and pollen harvest to maintain healthy colonies of bees.

Strange Honey Farm is not a collective and does not buy honey from other beekeepers. Strange Honey Farm is the honey business, this means our bees are not used for pollinating GMO crops or exposed to Neonicotinoid systemic pesticides. OUR BEES & BEEKEEPERS ARE HEALTHY & HAPPY!
